The Family Fishing Derby will be supplying emergency aid for children fighting cancer.

The fierce ice fishing competition was dominated by Jim Hong. Reeling in a 58 cm fish won him the top prize of the day, a 14 ft Lund fishing boat and trailer which was generously donated by FAB-Rite Services. Eric Reed placed second, his 43 cm fish won a 42 inch LCD TV and DVD player. Eleven-year-old Justice Hunt won herself a trip for two to Vancouver courtesy Pacific Coastal Airlines with her 41 cm giant, while five -year -old Silver Provencher took home the children's second prize with his 30 cm catch.
